I’m Jenny, a fully qualified and insured Traditional acupuncturist with over 12 years clinical experience.  My interest in acupuncture began in my late 20’s after having treatment myself and experiencing the profound affect it had on my health and wellbeing.

I first studied at The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading where I gained a BSc and a LicAc (License to practice acupuncture).  Here I learnt 5 Element acupuncture, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and complimentary skills such as cupping and guasha.  Of course this is a profession where you never stop learning, and in more recent years I have begun studying Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM), attending courses with Ann Cecil Sterman on Divergent channels, 8 Extraordinary channels and Advanced pulse taking.  This new knowledge has brought me greater confidence in treating patients with chronic ill health and disease as well as health issues that began is childhood.

I am especially interested in, and have treated successfully, patients with chronic ill health and complex conditions, such as autoimmune disease, insomnia, depression, anxiety, IBS, migraines and gynaecological issues. Symptoms are warning signs not to be ignored, if we suppress them then over time deeper issues can develop. Chinese medicine works to find the root cause of illness, which brings about much deeper healing and long lasting health.

I have always been especially interested in the connection between our emotions and our physical health – and this is something that Chinese medicine recognises as a major cause of disease.  The relationship between practitioner and patient is hugely important to me, and I like to take time to listen with compassion. Above all Chinese medicine is rooted in the spirit, and all treatment should first consider the spirit of the patient.

I have run busy practices in Oxford and Suffolk, where I treated a wide range of patients from different backgrounds and with diverse health issues. I have now settled in Hastings and am enjoying building my practice here alongside caring for my children.

Please do get in touch with me if you would like to know more about how acupuncture can help you

Jenny is someone who makes me feel safe and cared for. I trust her and her skills. She is an excellent listener and has a gentle, approachable manner. I feel like she sees me as a “whole person” (body, mind, emotions, spirit) and her treatments reflect this. I am delighted to have found Jenny and highly recommend her. Just go and see her- you won’t regret it!”

  1. Apologies, I forgot to give symptoms. Wave of nausea from toes to top, sometimes sweats and dizziness. The nausea is the worst thing and happens at any time, in ved when I’m asleep, sitting down, driving, etc.
